I acquired numerous hobbies. Some of them are more advanced than others.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>After enjoying playing with computers in High School, I completed a BS in Computer Engineering. My electronics tinkering continues outside of my Software Development job. I really enjoy Electroluminescent (EL) wire and all the fantastic lighting that can be done with Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eukota.com\/index.php\/projects\/\">See projects page.<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>I was taught to garden as soon as I could walk and to this day keep a garden in my yard. I hope to one day be able to produce enough vegetables to be able to preserve much of my needs for the winter months too. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eukota.com\/index.php\/creativity\/gardening\/\">Gardening<\/a>.)<\/li>\n<li>In 4th grade, a woman showed me and my class how to fold some basic Origami. I have numerous origami books. I used to fold the animals and other shapes one can make from a single square sheet of paper but now I mostly enjoy Unit Origami (aka geometric origami) where many units of the same type are created and then assembled without glue. I also enjoy paper box making and making intricate pop-up cards. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eukota.com\/index.php\/creativity\/origami\/\">Origami<\/a>.)<\/li>\n<li>I had a passing interest in Celtic Knots and learned to draw some pretty nice ones but I don&#8217;t have any up on my page.<\/li>\n<li>I learned Trombone at the age of 12. It was the beginning of a life full of the love for music. I have learned to appreciate most genres of music. I play numerous instruments. Unfortunately, I have learned I am a social musician. If there are no musicians to be had, I tend to revert back to occasional guitar songs with some harmonica thrown in. If I can find a group to play in, I tend to practice daily to make sure I keep up with them.
